She is a recipient of the ‘Life time achievement award’ by the Govt. Of Tamil Nadu. She is an M.B.B.S. from Madurai Medical College, Madurai (1974). She obtained her DGO (1981) and M.D. (1986) from Govt. Stanley Medical College, Chennai.
She has extensive teaching experience as a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in several Chennai city colleges including Madras Medical College,Stanley Medical college, Kilpauk Medical college,Chennai and SRM Medical college,Katankalathur.
Dr.Tasneem is an Undergraduate & postgraduate Examiner & Convener of examinations in Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR University, SRM University, Chettinandu University, Rajiv Gandhi University,etc. She has participated in national and International conferences & chaired the sessions
